With kids and adults from around the country heading back to school in just a few short weeks, it is officially book buying season. While many of those books are strongly academic, we think it's a perfect time to buy yourself a fun book too. Let's make fall cookbook season.

Dear What's Cookin' staff, I prefer simple cooking and simple cookbooks. I look for recipes with step-by-step instructions. Thatˇs how I learned from scratch to cook goulash, which my kids call "the best goulash in the world" :)

i love old classic cookbook -i look for them at garage sales-thrift stores-used book stores-i also cut out recipes from magazines pictures are great!! would love to win!! jackie morris

My favorite brown bag lunch was good old fashion peanut butter and jelly.
And as for cookbooks, I like all styles including cooking magazines.
