Waking up in the morning after a long night of drinking with a headache the size of Texas and a helluva cotton mouth can really ruin a possibly productive day. The hangover is one of the most dreaded feelings of all time, and yet we continue to drink excessively on the weekends, knowing the next morning is going to be awful and horrible. Oh well, c’est la vie.

So when you wake up that next morning feeling and looking like a creature from another planet, how do you get rid of it? The answer, my friends, is in grease, and I don’t mean the movie.

A greasy, hearty, meat-filled meal is quite possibly the best way to at least start the healing process from an epic hangover. I’m not quite sure what it is about the combination of eggs, potatoes and bacon for me, but when brought together, it’s like the stars have all aligned and I suddenly start to feel human again. Throw in a few cups of coffee and, hey, who’s that good lookin’ lady in the mirror? I forgot she existed for a while!
