The Flavors of Spain Somethings just stand out. I do a fair amount of browsing of recipes and the like, and all too often I see something , then it dawns on me. I don't make that enough. It's not that I don't cook often, because I do. It's just that I tend to fall back on what's comfortable and familiar, which in my case is an odd blend of Italian, Creole, and Caribbean influences.

What I repeatedly think I do not cook enough of are Spanish recipes. There are so many ways to have a tapas party, a paella party, or just a Spanish themed party and eat like a king. And yet I keep on forgetting to do so! Now, the food may not be as good as it would be if we were in Spain. But pepper the evening with a few enthusiastic Olés and some delicious Spanish wine and you'll hardly notice your decidedly domestic surroundings. Here are a few fantastic recipes to get you in the mood. Put them together and you'll have ready built Iberian feast!
