Top 5 Unexpected Easter Recipes

We get it. There are certain holiday traditions too perfect to mess with. Thanksgiving turkey. Fourth of July barbeque. Champagne on New Year’s. But Easter supper too often falls into the predictable and (can we say it?) boring.

But with these five traditional, yet relatively obscure recipes, you can tell a story during the meal and even pull a few well-timed rabbits out of your hat (or stock pot).  We’ve taken a peek at every region that has its own Easter customs and picked a few recipes to spice things up for your moveable feast. Or you can celebrate the whole week with a turn of these delicacies.

Let fly in the comments section with the allegations of heresy (culinary or otherwise), but we’re sure you’ll find something here that inspires glassy-eyed fervor. That said, don’t let us keep you from dying those Easter eggs or baking that ham. After all, tradition is tradition for a reason.
