This Friday evening begins the week-long Jewish holiday of Passover.

The Passover seder tells the story of Moses leading the Jews out of Egypt and the plights they faced while escaping persecution. As the story is told, food is served to represent the struggle. Each dish tells a piece of the important Passover story, from the hard boiled eggs to the apple and walnut Charoset

For those of you familiar with the seder and for those just learning, we've put together a list of great takes on the traditional holiday recipes. From homemade Gefilte Fish to a crowd-pleasing beef brisket, we have every step of the family dinner here.

These recipes are listed in order of their arrival on the Passover dinner table. While served in this order, most if not all of these recipes can be made in advance and reheated if needed.

Read on for the holiday dishes!
