Worth the Whisk
We love a good pun in a title and this blog is definitely worth checking out. The powerhouse behind Worth the Whisk is Patti Londre, a "longtime food pro" and home economist, who is based in Los Angeles and has won a swag of awards for her work within the food industry. Covering home cooking, travel, and food industry events, her blog has the stamp of approval from Saveur and foodies flock to her site for budget-savvy, fuss-free and husband Larry-approved recipes.
Recent posts have included Cast Iron Apple Cobbler, the couple's adventures eating in India, and a piece on community volunteering (Patti is involved with Project Angel Food, and she also created Camp Blogaway Bootcamp for Food & Recipe Bloggers). The site is well designed: posts pop with pictures and there is a handy side-menu categorizing posts by type, such as Appetizers, Dips & Small Bites; Chicken, Turkey & Goose; and Feed a Crowd.
