A few weeks ago, food blogger Jennie Perillo unexpectedly lost her husband Mikey to a heart attack. The beloved husband and father leaves behind Jennie and their two young daughters. In his honor, Jennie posted a recipe for Mikey's favorite Peanut Butter Pie, and asked other food bloggers to remember him by making a pie as well.

The outpouring of results has been incredible, with bloggers all over the country paying tribute to the great husband Mikey was, and lending their condolences to Jennie and her daughters by posting their own recipes for Peanut Butter Pie.

The blogging community is truly remarkable, with complete strangers coming together every day to bond over a shared interest. Jennie's humble request is the perfect example of how the power of technology and the passion for food can make the world seem just a bit smaller.
