Yesterday, one of our own left the rankings of What's Cookin' to temporarily move on and focus on culinary school.
For the past couple of months, editor Hana Choi has been splitting her time between the two, building both our site's repertoire and her own by moonlighting as a culinary student. We will miss both her editing abilities and her great foodie-knowledge around the office, but we wish her much luck in her cooking endeavors. And hopefully she will still pop up on the site with tips and culinary school tales every now and again.
In honor of her move, we've decided to feature her blog, Style Fare, for this week's What We've Been Reading.
Style Fare is a beautifully laid out blog with great recipes and gorgeous pictures documenting Hana's escapades both in and out of the kitchen. Click through and you will come to truly understand her talents, with words and with spatula.
We especially recommend her Blackberry Buttermilk Cake (this one is tried and true, she brought it into the office a few weeks back and it literally disappeared off the kitchen counter). Her Mascarpone Cheesecake is also to die for, and beautiful. Or, if you're looking for something not so sweet, check out the recipe for Steak with Bearnaise Sauce.
Whether it is sweet or savory, locally-based or from afar, her entries are all unique and truly enjoyable. We wish her all the best and can't wait for her to chime in at What's Cookin' as a contributor. Until then, check her out at Style Fare.
