Every mother has her own way of dealing with sleepless nights with restless, crying children. This week’s featured blog, Sweet Treats & More, shows one of the more epicurean ways to cope with those nights.
Kristy, a stay at home mom with one little boy and another on the way, passes the late night/early morning hours by mixing, measuring and baking delicious treats for her family to wake up to in the morning. Talk about efficiency! It was the Strawberry-Banana Muffins that she made in the wee hours of a recent morning that caught us and drew us in to the blog.
But it's not all about the sweets and the dips for Kristy. Her recipe index also includes lighter, healthier versions of some of our favorite rich recipes, along with inventive instructions on getting toddlers to eat veggies! Be sure to check out her Lightened Up Broccoli Cheese and Potato Soup and whip up the Roasted Asparagus with Balsamic Browned Butter.
Some of our favorite main dishes from Sweet Treats include the Naked Turkey Burgers with Sauteed Spinach, the Chicken and Asparagus Risotto and the vegetarian Grilled Eggplant Parmesan.
But let's get back to the point: the sweets! It was a near impossible task, but here are our not-to-miss Sweet Treats:
Chocolate Chip Cookie-Stuffed Crescent Rolls
Chocolate Cinnamon Heart Cakes (perfect for a Valentine's Day treat!)
White Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Graham Cracker Squares
