In my constant and continual hunt for the best food blogs on the web, I have been lucky enough to find Cooking with Whisk(y) and Food=L.O.V.E. NYC. Not only do these two blogs encompass two different cooking concepts, providing a wide range of recipes and techniques to choose from, but they are both conveniently written by the same person, Jessica Damuck.

An up-and-coming chef, writer, food stylist and all-around foodista in New York City, Jessica writes two blogs that, though their styles are different, attempt to teach people a very important piece about herself: she loves food, and she knows what to do with it.
On Cooking with Whisk(y), Jessica examines the use of the ever-delicious brown spirit. She incorporates it into her take on classic cocktails, as well as unique dishes that are great for both the sweet and savory eater. Jessica takes the different flavors that make up a variety of brown spirits and incorporates them into some truly decadent treats. For a perfect lunch combination, try her Braised Meyer-Lemon Chicken and Kale Sandwich with Bourbon Mayo with a Double Bourbon Root Beer Float. And for a side dish to any dinner, make her Cauliflower with Bourbon, Raisins and Pine Nuts.

Over at Food=L.O.V.E. NYC, Jessica takes her readers through her food travels in New York City as well as her hometown of Sag Harbor, educating them on eco-friendly, local and sustainable tactics along the way. What I really like about this blog is that she gives some good background on the inspiration behind all of her dishes, where they came from, and why she really enjoyed making them. Knowing that the person who made that recipe put some serious love into each step makes a huge difference when it comes to finding a dish to prepare at home, and Jessica is definitely showing everyone the love.

For a simple weeknight meal with friends, try the Spaghetti with Ramp Pesto and Shaved Asparagus - I made this for a meal with friends and had people begging me for the recipe! For a sweet treat to end the night, try her Strawberry Rhubarb and Ginger Pie.

If bourbon, food, cooking and love are your things, than these two blogs are sure to be your new favorite daily reads. Check them out at Cooking with Whisk(y) and Food=L.O.V.E. NYC today!
