It's no surprise to anyone that there are some fantastic food blogs out there. Right this second around the world, there are thousands of bloggers cooking up a storm in kitchens, and diners chowing down on delicious dishes; all about to lovingly record the experience in words and pictures for hungry readers to devour. The result is an all-you-can-eat 24/7 buffet of blogs, which can make it hard to pick out the best or most interesting ones to you.
Well, each week we're going to make it easier for you to find the freshest, funniest, most inspiring and, yes, most drool-inducing food blogs. We're really excited to be sharing these bloggers with you, starting with two this week, and can't wait until we are able to showcase more of the work of talented food writers in the future.
Smitten Kitchen
If you love beautifully composed, crisp food photography and writing that instantly makes a best friend of you, you'll be smitten with this site. From her New York home, Deb Perelman whips up creations with a comfort-food flavor, eschewing excessively fussy foods. Recent recipes have included vanilla bean pudding, chard and white bean stew, and milk punch, and there is a recipe index that will induce hunger pains it's that good. Deb is in the middle of creating her own cookbook, which she hopes to publish in 2012.

Jersey Foodies
These two are not only fans of good food and good wine, they are fans of Fitzgerald. Blogging under "F. Scott and Zelda," the Foodies review restaurants and wines. If New Jersey is your dining destination, then they've got you covered -- although they also check out eateries in New York, Philadelphia and areas of the East Coast. In addition to the dining, there's the wining: the pair regularly post tasting notes and most recently, shared their top 10 wine list for 2010.

I've been reading the Jersey Foodies for quite some time. Have tried many of their restaurant recommendations with much happiness at the end of the meal!
