Blue Cheese-Stuffed Bacon Burgers

Ingredients

  • Patties:
  • ¼ tsp (1 mL) each salt and pepper
  • ½ tsp (2 mL) dried thyme
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp (10 mL) Dijon mustard
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 3 slices bacon, finely chopped
  • + 5 more ingredients
    • 1 egg
    • 4 hamburger buns
    • 4 slices tomato
    • ½ cup (125 mL) crumbled Canadian blue-veined cheese
    • 1 lb (500 g) regular or lean ground beef

Patties: In large bowl, beat egg; stir in bacon, onion, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt and pepper. Mix in beef. Divide into quarters; shape into balls.
