Bulgogi (Korean Barbecue Beef)


  • Gochujang (Korean chili-bean paste), for serving
  • Green leaf lettuce, for serving
  • 1 tbsp. sesame seeds
  • 6 scallions, sliced
  • 10 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
  • 2 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp. sugar

    • ⅓ cup toasted sesame oil
    • ½ cup soy sauce
    • 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
    • 2 lb. beef sirloin
