Italian Meatball Burgers

  • 1 pound ground sirloin
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
  • 6 (2-ounce) Italian bread rolls, split
  • ½ teaspoon fennel seeds, crushed
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

    • 1 teaspoon dried basil
    • ¾ cup fat-free tomato-basil pasta sauce (such as Muir Glen)
    • 8 ounces sweet turkey Italian sausage

Prepare grill. Remove casings from sausage. Combine sausage, oregano, basil, salt, fennel seeds, garlic powder, and ground sirloin.
