Ingredients

  • 8 teaspoons Pickled Red Onions
  • 1 2-pound loaf sourdough bread , cut into 16 slices
  • ½ celery
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • ½ onion
  • 1 teaspoon peppercorns
  • Salt
  • + 13 more ingredients
    • 4 teaspoons unsalted butter
    • ½ carrot
    • 2 bay leaves
    • 4 sprigs fresh flat-leaf parsley
    • 1 cup red wine (such as cabernet sauvignon)
    • 6 medium cloves garlic
    • 1 tablespoon grapeseed or canola oil
    • 12 ounces Bel Paese cheese
    • 4 teaspoons grapeseed oil
    • 2 pounds boneless beef short ribs
    • and pepper
