Ingredients

  • ½ onion, finely diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 28 oz. can San Marzano or other good-quality whole tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tsp. salt (plus more as needed)
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef (or half beef/half pork)
  • Salt & fresh cracked pepper to taste
