Ingredients

  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 8 red leaf or bibb lettuce leaves
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • ½ cup kimchi
  • 4 teaspoons hot bean paste
  • 1 pound beef sirloin
  • + 11 more ingredients
    • 1 tablespoon mirin (Japanese sweet rice wine)
    • 1 tablespoon Asian (toasted) sesame oil
    • 1 cup fresh enoki mushrooms
    • 1 cup white rice
    • plus additional for garnish
    • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
    • ½ teaspoon fresh ginger
    • 2 garlic cloves
    • ½ medium onion
    • ¼ Asian pear

In large bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, mirin, pear, onion, garlic, ginger, sesame seeds, and pepper.
