Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon(s) Madras type curry powder
  • 1 ½ cup(s) finely chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoon(s) butter
  • 1 cup(s) milk
  • ¼ cup(s) almonds, coarsely chopped
  • ½ cup(s) raisins
  • 1 tart cooking apple, peeled & finely chopped (medium)
  • + 8 more ingredients
    • 3 Eggs
    • ¼ cup(s) lemon juice
    • ½ teaspoon(s) black pepper
    • 2 pound(s) coarsely ground lean lamb (I use ground beef and it tastes great)
    • 1 teaspoon(s) Salt
    • 1 tablespoon(s) light brown sugar
    • 4 fresh lemon or orange leaves or 4 small bay leaves (small)
    • 1 slice(s) homemade type white bread, 1 inch thick, broken into small bits

Combine bread and milk and let soak 10 minutes. Melt butter in frying pan and sauté lamb or ground beef. Remove meat from pan and pour off all but 2 tablespoons fat from the skillet and add onions.
