  • ½ cup fat-free, less-sodium beef broth
  • ¼ cup minced shallots
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 4 (4-ounce) beef tenderloin steaks
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons brandy
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
