Cajun Chili

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped green pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans, undrained
  • 1 (14 ½ ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • + 6 more ingredients
    • 2 tablespoons chili powder
    • 1 tablespoon honey
    • 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
    • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
    • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
    • 1 -2 teaspoon cajun seasoning

1 In a Dutch oven, brown meat with onion, green pepper, and garlic. 2 Meanwhile, in a blender, process beans with liquid until smooth. 3 Drain fat from Dutch oven; add the beans and remaining ingredients. 4 Simmer, uncovered, for 35-40 minutes.
