Easy Slow Cooker Beef Stew

Ingredients

  • 2 bay leaves
  • ½ cup(s) quick cooking tapioca
  • 1 pound(s) stew beef, cubed
  • 1 pound(s) carrots
  • 2 onions
  • 3 stalk(s) celery
  • 1 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
  • + 5 more ingredients
    • 1 28 oz can tomatoes
    • 1 4 oz can mushrooms (optional)
    • 1 teaspoon(s) salt
    • fresh ground pepper, to taste
    • ½ cup(s) red wine or water

Trim any large bits of fat from the meat. Peel carrots and cut into 1/2 inch rounds. Dice onion; slice celery crosswise.  Add all ingredients to slow cooker and mix thoroughly.
