Ingredients

  • ¼ cup brandy
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 1 1/4-inch-thick beef tenderloin steaks (filets mignons)
  • 1 adjustable-blade slicer
  • ¾ cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • ¾ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • + 6 more ingredients
    • 1 medium onion
    • 6 ounces dried egg noodles
    • ¾ cup reduced-sodium beef broth
    • 1 ¼ teaspoons salt
    • 2 garlic cloves
    • ½ pound white button mushrooms

Cook noodles in a 6- to 8-quart pot of boiling salted water until just tender. Drain in a colander. Meanwhile, thinly slice onion using slicer.
