Green Beans with Shallots

Ingredients

  • 1 large tomato, chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 ½ pounds fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 small shallots, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon beef bouillon granules

Arrange green beans in a steamer basket over boiling water. Cover and steam 5 to 7 minutes. Plunge into ice water to stop the cooking process; drain.Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add shallots, and sauté 3 minutes or until tender.
