Hearty Vegetable Beef Soup
Ingredients
- 1 cup(s) celery, sliced
- 3 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup(s) onion, chopped
- 4 cup(s) beef broth
- 1 ½ pound(s) stew beef, cubed
- 1 cup(s) frozen peas, optional
- ½ teaspoon(s) ground marjoram

- 2 teaspoon(s) salt, or to taste
- 1 tablespoon(s) sugar
- 28 ounce(s) canned tomatoes
- 2 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
- ½ teaspoon(s) freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
Preheat oven to 250° F. In a large container, add cubed meat, chopped onions, sliced celery, carrots, potatoes, beef broth and canned tomatoes. Add seasonings, cover with foil. Bake for 5 hours. If desired, add peas during the last 45 minutes of cooking. If the soup is too thick, add beef b...
