  • 12 ounces rib-eye steak
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Garlic, to taste
  • 1/8 cup vegetable oil, plus more for deep-frying
  • Handful precooked French fries
  • ¼ medium red onion, thinly sliced
  • ¼ medium tomato, sliced
  • + 5 more ingredients
    • 3 to 4 teaspoons vinegar
    • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
    • 1 to 2 ounces beer
    • 2 to 3 pinches chopped parsley leaves
    • Steamed white rice, for serving
