Norwegian Meatballs with Spiced Cream Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups beef stock or canned beef broth
  • Ground allspice
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 2 slices day-old rye bread
  • ½ pound ground veal
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • + 6 more ingredients
    • 2 tablespoons whipping cream
    • 2/3 cup beef stock or canned beef broth
    • 1 small onion
    • ½ pound ground beef
    • ¼ teaspoon ground allspice
    • 1 egg

Melt 2 tablespoons butter in heavy medium skillet over medium heat. Add onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Cool slightly. Combine bread and stock in large bowl.
