Pasta with Beans and Beef

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 1 pound ground chuck or lean beef
  • ¾ teaspoon dried crushed red pepper
  • 6 ½ to 7 ½ cups canned beef broth
  • 1 15- to 16-ounce can kidney beans, drained
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • 1 8- ounce can tomato sauce
    • 1 pound small shell pasta or elbow macaroni
