Peppery Baked Onions with Sage and Gruyère
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup less-sodium beef broth
- ¼ teaspoon dried rubbed sage
- 1 ½ teaspoons olive oil
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- Cooking spray
- ¾ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- ¼ cup (1 ounce) finely shredded Gruyère cheese

- 2 teaspoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 4 medium yellow onions, peeled and halved
Preheat oven to 400°. Arrange onions, cut sides up, in a single layer in a shallow 2-quart baking dish coated with cooking spray. Brush tops of onions with oil; sprinkle with pepper and salt.
