Proper English Cottage Pie

Ingredients

  • ¼ pound shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ cup butter, softened
  • 4 potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 ½ cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
