Ingredients

  • ½ pound lean ground beef
  • ½ pound ground veal
  • ½ pound ground pork
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • ¾ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • ½ cup fresh parsley
  • + 5 more ingredients
    • 1 5.5-ounce can vegetable juice
    • 1 ½ cups fresh breadcrumbs made from white bread (about 3 slices)
    • 4 garlic cloves
    • 1 ¼ pounds red onions
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Preheat oven to 350°F. Heat oil in heavy large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions and sauté until just tender, about 6 minutes. Add garlic; sauté 1 minute.
