  • 1 (10-ounce) can reduced-sodium tomato soup
  • 6 large green peppers, tops and seeds removed
  • ¼ t black pepper
  • ½ t salt
  • 1 T sugar
  • 2 c cooked white rice

    • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
    • 8 oz mild or hot Italian sausage or bulk pork sausage
    • 1 lb ground beef
    • 2 c water
    • 2 T butter, cut into small pieces
