Ingredients

  • 1 pound(s) carrots
  • 1 1 inch piece stick cinnamon (optional)
  • 3 pound(s) beef roast (chuck, blade, rump)
  • 2 pound(s) potatoes
  • 2 large onions
  • 2 tablespoon(s) canola or other oil
  • 1 cup(s) dry red wine (substitute tomato juice)
  • + 5 more ingredients
    • ½ teaspoon(s) pepper
    • 2 teaspoon(s) salt
    • 1 teaspoon(s) paprika
    • 1 teaspoon(s) turmeric
    • 2 bay leaves

Trim off any large pieces of surface fat.  Mix together salt, pepper, paprika and turmeric and  rub this all over the meat.
