Almond-Crusted Chicken with Rhubarb Chutney

- ½ teaspoon salt, plus more to season chicken
- 1/3 cup slivered almonds, very finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon (1-pound) package chicken breasts, cut into 4 portions
- ½ teaspoon pepper, plus more to season chicken
- 1 egg
