Ingredients

  • ½ cup coarsely grated Fontina
  • 2 small onions
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cups water
  • ¼ cup fine dry bread crumbs
  • 1 cup pearl barley
  • 1 large whole egg

    • 1 cup chicken broth
