Ingredients

  • 2 ½ pounds butternut squash
  • ½ cup dry white wine
  • 3 sweet apples, such as Golden Delicious (about 1 1/4 lb. total)
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon hot chili flakes
  • 3 tablespoons minced fresh chives
  • 3 cups fat-skimmed chicken broth
  • + 3 more ingredients
    • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
    • Salt and pepper
    • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
