Missouri Oven Baked Chicken

Ingredients

  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 1 Chicken
  • 1 teaspoon(s) Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 stick(s) butter, melted
  • ¼ cup(s) flour
  • 1 quart(s) buttermilk
  • 2 bay leaves
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • 1 teaspoon(s) sweet basil
    • Tabasco

Soak chicken in 1 quart buttermilk for an hour. Remove from buttermilk. Salt & pepper chicken. Dip in flour. Then dip in melted butter, which has been mixed with Tabasco and Worcestershire sauce. Sprinkle basil over top of chicken and put bay leaves in pan. Bake chicken at 357° for about an hour.
