Parsnip and Hazelnut Gratin with Bacon

  • 1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt
  • ½ cup hazelnuts
  • 2 tablespoons fresh sage
  • 4 ounces bacon slices
  • 1 cup low-salt chicken broth
  • 2 pounds parsnips
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • + 1 more ingredients
    • 2 cups whipping cream

Preheat oven to 400°F. Sauté bacon in heavy medium skillet over medium-high heat until golden brown, about 6 minutes. Using slotted spoon, transfer bacon to large bowl.
