Saucy Onion Meatball Subs Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1-½ cups (6 ounces) shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 8 submarine buns
  • SANDWICHES:
  • ¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chicken broth

    • 2 cups beef broth
    • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
    • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
    • 2 garlic cloves, minced
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 3 cups sliced onions
    • SAUCE:
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1-½ pounds ground turkey
    • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
    • ½ teaspoon pepper
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 2 tablespoons chicken broth
    • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • ¼ cup finely chopped onion
    • ¼ cup dry bread crumbs
    • 1 egg, lightly beaten
