  • 8 chicken drumsticks (about 2 lb.)
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons packed dark brown sugar
  • ½-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
  • 1 ½ teaspoons cornstarch

Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger and cornstarch in a small saucepan. Add 2 Tbsp. water and bring to a boil over high heat, stirring constantly until thickened, about 2 minutes.
