Truly Stewed Tomatoes
Ingredients
- 5 slice(s) multi-grain bread, toasted, cut small dice
- 3 tablespoon(s) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/3 cup(s) bourbon
- 1 ½ cup(s) sugar
- yellow onion. minced (small)
- 2 can(s) tomatoes, diced (16 ounce cans)
Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl. Pour into a well-greased casserole dish and bake in a preheated 350° oven for 30 minutes. Serve immediately with any good roast, baked chicken or grilled meats. Serves 6.
