Barbecued Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce, such as Tabasco
  • ¾ cup peanut oil
  • 1 cup cider vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons salt
  • Three 2 ½-pound frying chickens, split
