Chargrilled steak with sweet potato, green bean ragoût and red wine sauce


  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 85g/3oz rump steak
  • 100g/3½oz red Leicester cheese, grated
  • 100g/3½oz green beans, blanched
  • 100ml/3½fl oz double cream
  • 100ml/3½oz beef stock
  • 4 tbsp red wine
  • + 8 more ingredients
    • 4 tbsp white wine
    • 100g/3½oz chestnut mushrooms, sliced
    • 1 shallot, chopped
    • 1 tbsp olive oil
    • 1 sprig fresh thyme
    • 100ml/3½fl oz chicken stock
    • ½ large sweet potato, peeled and thinly sliced
    • 55g/2oz butter
