Easy Fried Chicken
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons salt
- Vegetable oil
- 1 cup buttermilk
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 chicken (about 3 pounds), cut into 8 pieces
Rinse the chicken in cold water and pat dry. Combine the salt, flour, black pepper, and cayenne in a large, shallow bowl. Dredge the chicken in the flour mixture, shaking off the excess.
