The Actual Applebee's Cheesy Chicken Tortilla Soup

Ingredients

  • 10 (6 inch)yellow or coloredcorn tortillas, ¼-inch strips, fried
  • 8 ouncesprocessed cheese, 1-inch cubes
  • ¼ cupsour cream
  • 1 cupcream
  • 1 lbcooked chicken, cubed or pulled
  • ½ cupwater
  • 4 tablespoonsflour
  • + 13 more ingredients
    • ½ teaspoonhot sauce(optional)
    • 1 teaspoonWorcestershire sauce
    • 1 teaspoonchili powder(optional)
    • 1 teaspoongranulated sugar
    • ¼ teaspoonpepper(optional)
    • ½ teaspoonsalt
    • 1 tablespoonfinely mincedjalapeno pepper(optional)
    • 1 (15 ounce) cantomato puree
    • ¼ cupchoppedgreen pepper(optional)
    • 4 cupschicken stock
    • 2 tablespoonsvegetable oil
    • 2 teaspoonsfresh garlic, minced
    • 1 mediumyellow onion, chopped (1 cup)
