Steak, Tomato, and Okra Kebabs
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons red-wine vinegar
- ½ teaspoon sugar
- 2 pounds 1/2-inch-thick boneless chuck blade steaks (sometimes called chicken steaks) or steak tips, gristle trimmed
- 1 pound small tomatoes such as Campari or Baby Roma (about 2 inches wide)
- 16 12-inch metal skewers
- ¾ pound okra
- 3 tablespoons shallot
- + 2 more ingredients

- ½ tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
Whisk together shallot, vinegar, mustard, sugar, 1 tsp salt, and 3/4 tsp pepper. Add 1/2 cup oil in a slow stream, whisking until emulsified.
