Ingredients

  • 1 (4- to 5-lb.) whole chicken
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ cup dry white wine
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
