Ingredients

  • 8 cups vegetable or chicken broth
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Crème frache, for garnish, optional
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon
  • 2 cups apple juice
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Salt
