Broiled Chicken Wings with Spicy Apricot Sauce

Ingredients

  • ½ teaspoon cayenne
  • 4 ½ pounds chicken wings (18 to 20), wing tips cut off and discarded
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • ½ teaspoon black pepper
    • 1 cup apricot preserves

Preheat broiler. Line bottom of a broiler pan with foil, then oil rack of pan. Toss wings with oil, black pepper, and 2 teaspoons salt in a large bowl, then spread in 1 layer on rack of broiler pan.
