Byerly's Ham & Wild Rice Soup


  • 6 tablespoon(s) butter
  • 3 cup(s) chicken broth
  • 2 cup(s) cooked wild rice
  • 1/3 cup(s) diced ham
  • ½ cup(s) finely shredded carrots
  • 3 tablespoon(s) chopped slivered almonds
  • ½ teaspoon(s) Salt
  • + 3 more ingredients
    • 1 cup(s) half-and-half
    • 2 tablespoon(s) dry sherry
    • 1 tablespoon(s) minced onion

Melt butter and sauté onion until tender. Blend in flour; gradually stir in broth. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil. Boil and stir one minute.
