Chicken Saagwala

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 6 onion, chopped
  • 3 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 6 (2 inch) pieces cinnamon stick
  • 6 (1 inch) pieces fresh ginger root, peeled and minced
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced

    • 2 tablespoons ground coriander
    • 1-½ teaspoons ground turmeric
    • 1-½ teaspoons garam masala
    • 1-½ teaspoons ground cayenne pepper
    • 6 bay leaf
    • 6 cups finely chopped fresh spinach

    • 3 cups skim milk
